"Enchant the Wind (Algiers / Rabe Lawo"

This piece binds a modal  jazz melody by Austin Peralta (“Algiers”) to the traditional Kurdish folksong ‘Rabe Lawo,’ calling for a return to the homeland. In an original arrangement, Gazzolo weaves the two together, introducing a counter-melody that evokes longing and gently invites the listener home by enchanting the wind.
